The program works with what it calls 'shots' or segments that combine a number of multimedia resources selected by the user: a webcam, a video clip, a text label, a composition or a transparent background (Wirecast is compatible with the Chroma Key function).
The next step is to select the relevant transitions for the composition and decide what to do with the audiovisual space - broadcast it live or record it on the hard disk.
